Aims
This
two year full time course prepares participants for employment as
classroom assistants in schools. The course will include periods
of practical work placements in schools.

Candidates
should have reached Leaving Certificate standard or equivalent and
have a strong interest in working with and helping children.
Applications
are especially invited from mature students. Final selection for
the course is by interview.
YEAR 1: CERTIFICATE
- Level 5 Certificate in Community and Health Services.
- FETAC - 8 Modules
- MBC Art and Craft Certificate
YEAR 2:
- FETAC - 6 Modules Certificate (DCHCC)
- Advanced Certificate in Supervision in Childcare with strong emphasis on working with children with special needs
- First Aid
Candidates successful in all the above will be awarded an MBC Diploma in Classroom Support Teaching
