Computer Studies commencing September 2010

Aims

This full time course provides an intensive programme of education and computer training as preparation for computer related careers in a commercial environment. The course provides a solid foundation in computer studies and equips students with knowledge and expertise in a wide range of Computer Applications.

Students have access to top of the range hardware and software, such as page scanners, colour printers and, of course, access to the Internet, which is a very important facet of ICT.

Considerable emphasis is placed on practical work, which reflects current practice in industry and commerce. The course organisation provides for related work experience.

Further Educational Prospects

On successful completion of this course, participants may progress to the Moate Business College Advanced Diploma for IT Users.

Entry Requirements

Leaving Certificate standard or equivalent, combined with an interest in Information Technology
