School of Caring

The School of Caring encompasses three distinct programmes – Childcare, Social Care and Nursing Studies. The Child Care Programme at MBC offers the learner an opportunity to pursue a Level 5 and 6 Advanced Certificate in Supervision in Childcare. This major award meets the educational requirements as set out for the ECCE Scheme. The Social Care programme incorporates FETAC level 5 and 6. Students on the programme study a wide range of subjects and also undertake supervised practice placement in a variety of social care settings.

Nursing Studies is a 1 year course and will be of interest to students who intend to pursue a career in nursing. Students receive a comprehensive introduction to all aspects of nursing care from essential nursing practices to specialised care.
