Aims
The Certificate in Nursing Studies is a one year full-time programme designed to equip students with the basic skills and knowledge to progress to further studies or employment in the nursing field.

Entry Requirements
Candidates most likely to benefit from the course will have a keen interest in Nursing. This course is open to Mature students.
Progression
Successful completion of the course will allow the student progression to General (RGN), Psychiatric (RPN), Intellectual Disability (RND), Children's Nursing (RGN) and Midwifery (RM) courses both in Ireland and the UK

Certification
On successful completion of the one year course, candidates who reach the required standard will receive FETAC National Certificate in Nursing Studies (DCHSN)
