Aims
The Certificate in Nursing Studies is a one year full-time programme designed to equip students with the basic skills and knowledge to progress to further studies or employment in the nursing field.
Students also have the option to complete the course over 2 years. By doing this they can also obtain a Diploma in Social Studies

Candidates
most likely to benefit from the course will have a keen interest
in Nursing. This course is open to Mature students.
On successful
completion of the one year course, candidates who reach the required standard
will receive FETAC National Certificate in Nursing Studies (DCHSN)

- Care Provision and Practice

- Work Experience
Successful
completion of the course will allow the student progression to General (RGN), Psychiatric (RPN), Intellectual Disability (RND), Children's Nursing (RGN) and Midwifery (RM) courses both in Ireland and the UK
